Animus

Animus

After openly confessing to a brutal assault, a troubled recluse is interviewed by an institutional psychologist. To ascertain the motivation behind his crime, the psychologist realizes he must sink his teeth into the only thing the young man finds meaningful: the relationship between animal instinct and human behaviour.

Animus dwells on violence, morality and society in the context of evolutionary biology; exploring issues that are pertinent to humanity in lieu of late capitalism, social unrest, and environmental crisis. Did we ever leave the jungle?
